Ed’s Study Notes and Commentary
The following are notes that I have prepared from my personal study of the Scriptures. I distribute them freely when I teach the Bible and have done so for many years. Each series, whether a Bible book study or a topical study, was crafted in the real-time pressures and glory of teaching the Word of God in my community of faith--Church of the Open Door.
I’ve tried to strike a balance between biblical depth and accuracy and practical application. I feel that offering these absolutely free to anyone who asks is my reasonable service of worship (Romans 12:1-2). The Lord Jesus has blessed me with opportunities to study His word at Dallas Theological Seminary and to teach His word in a refreshingly honest grace-based church, Church of the Open Door.
With input from readers like you and students I teach around the world, I’m constantly refreshing and upgrading these notes. If you have a question or notice an error, please let me know. Contact me!
I offer these notes to anyone who wants to draw closer to the Lord Jesus by understanding the Bible. They’re not perfect, but they’re honest. I don’t claim that everything I write about the Bible is correct. I can assure you that everything I write is accurate according to my understanding of the Scriptures. They reflect my present level of understanding. As new editions become available, I will replace the older ones.
You’re welcome to print them or simply read them off the screen. Feel free to duplicate paper copies for distribution to other people. But please do not change them and then distribute them as my work. They are copyrighted.
I pray these studies and notes will help you follow the Lord Jesus as His devoted disciple,
