Since 1996 I have been leading the ministries of Church of the Open Door in Southern California. We are a non-denominational local church encouraging one another to walk with Christ.
Church of the Open Door, or COD as we affectionately call it, is a community of faith, passionate to see the grace of God transform lives, families, communities, and culture.
Behind this passion is our historic commitment to the Gospel of Christ and the Word of God. We take Jesus’ simple command to make disciples of all nations seriously. We feel that disciples are made in the context of a healthy local church where believers feel safe enough to pursue their destiny in Christ under the leadership of loving under-shepherds.
COD was established in 1915 and originally located in downtown Los Angelses. For the first 70 years Church of the Open Door partnered with Biola University. Some of the greatest leaders in recent history–R. A. Torrey, Louis Talbot, and j. Vernon McGee–led the church as it launched worldwide ministries such as Wyclffe Bible Translators, the Navigators, and Thru the Bible Radio.
In 1985 the church moved to the city of Glendora in the foothills of the san Gabriel Mountains north of Los Angeles. To find out more about our fellowship, go to churchoftheopendoor.com
